We’ve all Made Mistakes

Somewhere in your late 20s, as a woman, you either get married or become preternaturally obsessed with your pets. Sometimes, if you’re me, you work at an animal shelter, take your work home with you, and it vomits up tapeworms all over your brand new bedspread. Sometimes, you shift your career over to retail, thinking this will pay the bills. Sometimes, you even go so far as to convince yourself that your career can be sustained if you manage to live, breathe, and defecate the pet industry. So you end up staying in this career trajectory for a decade too long, and now you have four too many animals. But at the very least, at least you tried to create some cool shit for the companies you worked for and now you’re absolutely obsessed with getting a ferret.
